Here's steel instrumental I used for a demo. I saw David Hartley playing it YouTube and decided it would make a great video. The video is actually David Hartley's hands playing the steel, I recorded the video of just his hands playing so I could see where he was on the neck, and when I got it all done I was amazed at how well my own recording fit the video. smile

This is also a video I captured on YouTube, of Jim Bob Gairrett playing a bunch of stuff he made up. Here again I use my steel to play exactly what he played. I had the opportunity to talk to Jim Bob on the phone and he couldn't believe I could do that with midi.

This is my website, I created all the music using midi instruments in Kontakt.

Thanks Tod, I must say publicly I cannot thank you enough for the help you’ve given me. I did not know you were on the BIAB forums although I did read a lot of your stuff on Reaper.

I added the “String Number” to your Toolbar to give me a better indication of where I’m at. I don’t play Steel Guitar so I had to learn a lot.

I also used your Toolbar as a basis to create a ToolBar to set the Capo positions on the AmpleSound guitars (AGM, AGT). This makes a huge difference getting them to play nice. It also taught me a lot.

Creating the Note Name Maps for the Pedal Steel also makes things easier. I use the same approach for the AmpleSound Instruments, VSL Synchron Player and doing similar for others.

It was your influence that caused me to do this and therefore get a heap more out of Reaper MIDI.

Thank you

Tony
