I'm not sure if this is simply a part of the product or not or if there's a setting I need to change ...
I have a 3-chorus tune. When I'm playing the tune from any chorus besides #1 (viewing chord sheet window) and I double click a bar, I'm expecting it to begin playing from that bar (in the same chorus). It always switches to chorus #1 to play the bar.
I know there's probably a setting for this but I've not manged to find it (I thought it might be in the preferences but didn't see it).
Thank you.
Ike

You can start in a particular chorus by using the From any bar (Ctrl F) and specifying the chorus. The only other way I know of is to Unfold your song into one big chorus.

Rachael is correct. When you double click in a bar, the program has no way of knowing which chorus you want, so it defaults to the first chorus. Just use the From button, or CTRL+F, to bring up the dialog where you can specify both the chorus and the bar number.
ps this is the only way to play from a point within a tag.

There's also a slick method which shows up when you right-click on any bar. Near the bottom of the menu that opens, you can choose to play from that bar in any chorus, using one more click.

Matt, I guess I'd have to disagree with that. The reason I'm saying that I "expected" that the program would begin playing with the bar I double-clicked on is because I can see the program displaying for me what chorus number it's currently in during playback (It'll say 1/3, 2/3, 3/3).
I guess I'm thinking that since the program is intelligent enough to be showing me this, I'd assume that it's intelligent enough to know that since I'm on chorus #2, that's what I want to hear. In my mind, I'm looking at chorus #2, bar #6 and when I double-click there, I should hear the solo going on in chorus #2, not the piano in the first chorus.
I guess users have gotten used to it that way so I can see that it wouldn't be right to change it now.

allis ... thanks for this. This is better I think, as I seem to prefer using the mouse more than the keyboard.

I agree with you on all of this. I remember being puzzled the first time I encountered this, that it did not know I was not in the first chorus.
Good Wishlist item.

My wife is a recovering Mac addict so not really in tune to the right mouse button concept and I am constantly telling her to use the right mouse button. That thing is useful in every program in Windows, so that is usually the first place I go when looking to do something easier with the mouse.

You can put a PC mouse on a Mac and make use of right-clicking.

If you just want to play from a particular bar, use cntl-G.
