I often us BB as a backup band when practicing keyboard - not unusual, I'm sure. Since my timing sucks, I like to keep the monitor in sight and use the current measure marker or the visual metronome to help me visually lock in the groove.
But why stop there? Back in the day, on my Amiga, I used a sequencer called Music-X that would grotesquely flash the border of the screen in tempo. It could be seen a mile away and if you were in same room as the monitor it was impossible to ignore. It was almost as good as getting a head slap on each beat (which is what I need).
So my suggestion is to add a new visible metronome option that would, say, invert the the colors of the entire measure grid of the chord sheet window with each measure or beat. This will help me watch the visible metronome out of the corner of my eye. Plus, if recording with others, they will also easily see the beat.

I was thinking resize the screen and write an app that takes the tempo/beat like you use to control lights and have a leprechaun on a pogo stick jump up and down. Wow these meds are good!
I'm sure that based on the name of the med I'm going to write nice lyricas.
