OK I played around with this and I could not get BIAB to render an audio file to either WMA or MP3 format. I tried all various bit depths, sample rates, channels and qualities and they all failed to produce any files in the directory. BIAB went through the process of rendering on screen and the BIAB log shows a successful rendering with zero results, but no files were produced.

When I switched to a WAV output, it performed flawlessly with all tracks rendered.

I had something similar a while back where only certain tracks were rendered successfully and others were not.

I am not sure if it is related or not but here is that thread.

Andrew came up with a workaround on that one but that workaround was unsuccessful in this case.

Follow Up: I did notice that one of the improvements in this build was "Improved: Enabling render setting "Individual tracks flat, dry, and center” will improve rendering time."

I also just found that if I only render the MIX and not individual files, the program produces a mix MP3 that plays just fine.

When I chose individual tracks and NO mix, I get nothing rendered.

Same when I chose individual tracks AND include the mixed track, nothing is rendered.

It points down to a problem rendering individual tracks using this method.

Something has changed internally with this build, just not sure.

For now, I would suggest rendering as WAV files and then convert them to MP3 using a utility program if you need MP3 as the final result. Otherwise use the WAV files as they seem to render just fine with this latest build.
