hello, I can't hear the thru on biab, it worked on the previous version ... I am now on audiophile version 21 for mac on Mojave 10.14.16. the only thing that has changed is that I load Biab through an external HD, the whole installation is externally. (I also wonder if it is not better to install Biab on an internal disk and keep the RT and RD on the HD audiophile?) I put 2 images to try to explain my thru problem: we see in photo 1 that the signal is triggered in biab (green line) when I play on my keyboard but there is no sound. then on photo 2 whatever the option I choose for the thru (plug-in, general midi etc), nothing happens, no sounds yet the signal is triggered. Could someone give me a clue to resolve this. thank you so much
Your pictures show that there is not an instrument patch loaded to the track. Do you mean in the second picture that when you select an instrument, it doesn't show?
In the main Band-in-a-Box program. Please go to Help | About Band-in-a-Box. Afterwards, near the top of that window, it will have Version 2021 and a number in brackets - what is that number?
Once that's installed, if Thru still doesn't work, please go to Options > MIDI Input/Output Ports, and on Bass choose "MIDI Plugins", then click <-- Set All Ports To This and click OK.
Next, click on the Plugins button in the File or Misc toolbar, and choose Default Synth. In the upper right, make sure the option selected is <AUi> Apple: DLSMusicDevice.
If you're unable to see DLSMusicDevice in the plugin list, click on the Options button in the Plugins window, then click Exclude MIDI Plugins and uncheck <AUi> Apple: DLSMusicDevice.
hello,I have just installed the prescribed patch, the thru works again but it behaves strangely, it only works with plug-ins, we cannot use the basic midi patches and there is no longer any triggering of the green diode. but I just realized that I went back to the 2020 version so without the new features. what should i do now to go back to version 2021 and have the thru working. thank you
Hello, I would like to use again the last version (2021), I think I have to use the original patch 2021 isn'it ? but I would like to be sure. For the thru when I will be on Biab 2021, is there another way to use it or is it a bug that will be corrected., thank you
edit: I would also like to point out that there is a problem with the chord builder, if we want a 1/16 or 1/8 punch or other change on only piano for ex., if we select 'except piano or other inst., biab does not take this into account, it will affect all instruments.bye

I must inform you that now my thru has completely disappeared from the mixer tracks, it is still present at the top of the bar but we can no longer select it, I think I will have to redo a total installation of BIAB, I had done a copy of the original HD of BIAB audiophile 2021, how best to redo this installation. What files and folder should I uninstall or delete from my internal drive (prefs etc etc ...) before redoing the installation. I previously had everything on the external drive but I plan to install BIAB on the internal drive and keep all the big files (realtracks and realdrums) on the external drive. please advise me as best as possible because my version of bIAB 2021 has never worked correctly from the start.
Oh thank you, I was distracted ;-), I already contacted you for this problem, the thru does not accept any instrument, neither apple synth, or plug-ins or other external synth, Simon, I sent you a message on the support of PG concerning this problem and others also with the 2021 version. hello, no more answers to my questions about a few things, I sent a mail to the technical support, no answer . My Biab audiophile 2021 is crashing more and more, today it happens 3 times, he left ...I don't konow why, I ask allready to make a new install but still no answer at all, I'm a little despited. am I black listed ?

For crashing please try going to Options | Return to Factory Settings.
If that does not resolve your issue, please close out of Band-in-a-Box and go to Finder | Applications | Band-in-a-Box | Preferences. Duplicate the Preferences folder, and rename the duplicate something else as a backup, like "Preferences_backup". Then go back to the original Preferences folder and try deleting the content of the Preferences folder, but not the folder itself. Then re-launch the program.
