My health care plan is to eat, drink, smoke, carouse, and do whatever I like, then die.
Nice romantic, rugged individulistic type attitude there but what happens if you trip down the stairs in front of your house, break your neck, your neighbor calls 911 and you wind up in the hospital for 6 weeks and make a full recovery at a cost of oh, say 100 grand? So, I guess that means everybody has to know you don't want anybody to call 911 on your behalf, you're willing to simply die there lying on your stairs in pain with a broken neck, right?
If you don't provide for your own insurance either through work or this new program, who pays for it?
C'mon man, think it through.

John thinks there ought to be an auto sarcasm button which measures the sarcastic intent of the poster on a scale of 1 to 100. I've made posts like that and been flamed big time. Sometimes omitting the LOL is bad, and even if you add that and a wink someone jumps on it.

Oh by the way, I use the name the poster uses as a measure of my respect. A nickname is one thing, but calling yourself rubberball simply means your posts won't be taken very seriously, unless of course you sign your real name.
The degree of this for me goes. 1. Lowest..a nickname, no info, no link, no address, no country, = John probably takes what you say with a salt mine, not just a grain of salt. 2. Nickname and a Name like Bill at the bottom and that's it. =4 pounds of Sea Salt. 3. Nickname and Bill but it says OZ = lets have a beer. OZ being slang for Aussie. 4. Nickname and Bill and city/state/province. OK, lets have a beer too. (I'm down to 2 a day so don't get excited). 5. Real Name, Real Place, a link, and let's hang out. 6. Real Name, Real Place, some gear, and you post a song now and then, let's hang out and do this together and have a beer, or I'll have mine and you drink wine..no wait, the wine was really water..so you can have water but I'm really against those plastic bottles because I heard 20 truck loads of them a day are being hauled out, and the city is picking up 200,000 a year from the roadways. At least they pick them up once a week...

Well, hopefully, I'll get some really good pain pills. They're better with hard booze.
Owe the hospital $100,000? Well they could take my trailer as a down payment, it'd be worth at last $2000 these days
Besides, I thought everybody in the US got great health care already? According some of the politicians at least. Surely they wouldn't lie! When President Reagan had surgery he was impressed with our system. Worked great for him so couldn't be a problem!

Man, all that salt's bad for your blood pressure.
I'll post a song soon as I have one ready. I'm just really getting into electronic music. Have used Band in a Box for years for practice mostly.
Rubberball is from an old song my sister had on a 45. Might have been Red Rubber Ball. Anyone the dude keeps bouncing back to his old girlfriend.

Oh yeah - there is no way in hell I'm gonna put any real info about myself on any forum, any time, any where. Too many crazies out there (like people who name themselves after 1950's singles).

And I think it's gonna be all right. Yeah, the worst is over now, The morning sun is shining like a Red Rubber Ball.
Simon and Garfunkel. Late '60s...

Actually I was thinking of just "Rubber Ball" by Bobby Vee, but the Simon and Garfinkel one was great too. Everything they did together and solo was great.
