Is there a way to make mass changes to all or a group of tracks all at the same time. Individual tracks can be edited using the Event List function. The question here is editing more than one track at the same time.
For example, let's say I have 5 tracks and I want to set the PanCtrl (midi cc 10) on all to 30 or I have ReverbCtrl (midi cc 91) that I want to set all tracks to 50. Can this be done on all tracks at the same time or do I have to adjust the parameters on each track separately?

In either the Tracks or Mixer view: You can select the desired tracks and hold the Shift Key while dragging the Volume or Pan knob of any track (selected or not) and that action moves all of the selected knobs of just the highlighted (selected) tracks and whatever track you placed the mouse on.
Right clicking on a volume or panning knob and entering a number and holding the shift key as you press ok will also change all of the selected tracks to that same number. It's the same process for the volume knobs also.
I haven't tried any adjustments to multiple tracks for reverb. Will that work for what you're trying to do with panning?

Protip: For surgical edits on MIDI, when you go to the Edit option, enable the Data Filter. As Charlie said; highlight the desired tracks and sections but once you get to the Data Filter you can do many things you couldn't otherwise.
You can control any CC with an array of options. RB/PT has had this for years, but a lot of users don't seem to notice that one little Data Filter checkbox that opens a very powerful tool.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

Appreciate your replies here guys. I may have painted myself into a box here.
Here's the backstory. Over the years, I've done some 400 midi only songs and have mixed the track volume levels, pan, reverb, chorus, modulation and expression levels to what sounded good on my flat stereo studio monitors (KRK 8's). Some months ago, I got a single EV Evolve 30M array speaker to use in hopes of playing out on the nursing home circuit. Now through the EV, the mixes are totally out of whack...pan issues here, reverb issues there, etc, etc. To make matters even worse, I hard coded all the individual midi CC parameters into each track of each saved song.
I know I'm going to have to make changes to all of these tracks to bring the mix back in line on the EV array. The thought of having to manually change each track's hard coded midi CC seems a bit overwhelming.
Starting to get some real good insight into what you guys have been saying all these years: test out your mixes on different speaker systems! (a problem I never had cause I only had one speaker system) Also, I guess it goes without saying, if your working in midi: don't hard code the parameters...so how do you do it?
Just looking for an easier way to do these mass changes. Maybe the better way would be to delete all the hard coded CC's and use RB's track controls to set each parameter and then save the file with these settings rather than the hard codes.
Any thoughts?
Appreciate your insight and help,
Jeff

Jeff,
What if you convert your MIDI files to audio files? Do you believe it might easier to manage audio files over MIDI files while your giving a performance?

Yes, I definitely agree that it would Jim. However, I still have individual track issues that need to be changed and balance out on the new speaker system and unfortunately these are hard coded. Once I get these addressed, converting to audio would not only be more reliable but would also cut down on the equipment needed to run the production.

For MIDI you can highlight ALL the tracks in a song, use Edit - enable Data Filter and change any reverb, panning or other message for all the tracks by any amount you want. Or CUT them all without affecting other data.
You can limit it to just reverb controls over X amount, or do all of them .. etc.
I can't hear the songs so I have no idea how much you need to adjust, but Data Filter gives lots of control.
but I repeat repeat repeat myself

This is starting to sink in Rharv and I do appreciate the education.
One thing that I have found is that if you highlight multiple tracks and then hold the shift key down, you can adjust the volume and pan of all of the highlighted tracks at once just by using your mouse and moving any of the tracks volume or pan sliders. However, this seems to have no effect on the hard coded CC's on each track even when the song is saved with the new "group" settings. In other words, the CC's settings change any new "group" settings back to the hard coded settings each time the song is started.
So as you've pointed out, the Data Filter is the way to make permanent changes to any existing CC's codes on each or multiple tracks. I'm going to have to play with this a bit. I've used the Data Filter on single tracks but using it on multiple tracks is going to take some trial and error on my part. But as usual, you are spot on and I appreciate you steering me in this direction.

Yes, hard coded CC's will change the settings, it's what they are there for. Group and GUI settings are RB specific and a hard coded CC will change/override it. They will usually also make the panning/reverb/volume visually change in the GUI when they occur. Another option is you can also 'Record Mixer Moves' in the Mixer window and overwrite the existing CC data. I'm more of a programmer so I like the Data Filter aspect once I am trying to change existing events. Plus the 'Record Mixer Moves' requires multiple passes for what I can (usually) do in the Data Filter in one pass if I give it a little thought/attention. And with Undo I can quickly go back if I goof. In other words, the CC's settings change any new "group" settings back to the hard coded settings each time the song is started. Well, for it to occur each time a song is 'started', you likely have the 'Send most Recent ..' box checked, so RB looks back and finds the last CC, either that or all of your CCs are happening at the beginning and you are starting from there. Again; CC's get transmitted and change previous settings. You have to get rid of them to stop that behavior in pretty much any SEQ/DAW. Maybe you'd be better just cutting them (using the data filter) and starting over with reverb/panning etc .. hard to say without seeing the file.
