SONG TITLE : "INTERGALACTIC SPACESHIP".... ARTIST : moi..ALF-L..(a lad from london (c) 2016) ***WARNING >>> DUE TO VARIETY OF PLAYBACK SYSTEMS/USERS OUT THERE..... WATCH YOUR LEVELS. TILL YOUR COMFORTABLE WITH SONG !!*** ***IT GETS LOUD !!!***AT>>>1m33secs and 2m38secs<<<*** HERES THE LINK.... https://soundcloud.com/user-302791555/galacticcalf-l2016(i like to sing in lots of different vocal "styles". this is just one of them. please use good earbuds. apologies if the listener hates the song. this is one of about 90 songs where ive used the biab/rb/reaper combo in the creation of a song. i just enjoy creating songs.) BACKGROUND TO PONDER WHILE LISTENING TO SONG. 1. the following info is a result of many interesting discussions years ago with very talented profs. per einstein, all is relative. maybe in truth in all the galaxies out there are huge numbers of very advanced civilisations possibly hundreds of millions of years ahead and advanced of us. on the other hand there are probably many civilisations way behind us. 2. think on this. some maintain that a alien ship crashed in 1947 at roswell. could it be that there is linkeage between this and what happened in 1945 two years before ? (do some reading research on oppenheimer and atomics on google for detailed info.) 3. also think about the fact that some might consider that a planet has reached some sort of technological sophistication/maturity when it discovers atomics/nuclear etc etc. could it be that the craft that crashed at roswell was in response to it being noted out in the universe that earth had come of age ? as in "wow lets send a scout ship and see what the hey is going on with earth". possibly in the same way as most countries on earth have police stations dotted around , maybe throughout the galaxies are listening posts and/or manned stations ? 4. i think , if i remember we did some calculations once years ago. there is a 2 year difference from 1945 to 1947..ie action and reaction. and, if i remember the calcs indicated the first alien civilisation (or possibly a listening post) based on this 2 years time frame might indicate they might be 15 trillion miles away. or a few light years. however we all felt definitely that we are the only ones who exist in our solar system. in addition there are some people who maintain that we are the aliens "zoo". maybe ? ie in the same way we take the kids to our zoos , they visit us in their ships with their families. this might explain the many ufo sightings. as in "oh lets go visit those silly earthlings that still use ancient propulsion systems to send their astronauts into space". personally i suspect weve been monitored by advanced civilisations for hundreds of centuries.... in the same way earth parents closely monitor their children growing up. i also suspect within the next 20 years due to even seasoned pilots seeeing ufo's.... that finally we will be told the truth behind the phenomena. until then its fun to speculate.lol. DETAILS : 1. so...this is my little contribution to the never ending debate as to whether aliens exist...lol. 2. this is the type of song i enjoy creating...ie...starts off "soft" ...then drama starting at 1m33secs. (WATCH YOUR LEVELS)...then it gets "soft" again....then at 2m38secs... BAM !...all heck breaks loose...lmao. (AGAIN WATCH YOUR LEVELS)... lots of fun i had. but the song was lots of work ! 3. note...the alien FX at begin and end of song were created by me from scratch. (i mean..who knows what an alien sounds like...lol. please tell me what you think of the alien sounds/fx. i like them...but others might not.) 4. the song concept is... i would like my own intergalactic spaceship...and travel the galaxies makeing friends and doing rock..lmao. please feel free to criticise. i'm a big boy...i can take it. i just do my best with each song. best oldmuso (a lad from london.)

"...come and join me." Of the intro section the upward emphasis/question tonality of that line, even when repeated, doesn't fit. It comes across as insincere/bad acting to my ears - and being from the country that gave the world neighbours et al, I've heard a lot of it. Apart from that I really liked the piece and wanted it to go longer, go somewhere else on its journey.

RayC. thanks for listening to the song. RE..my lyric "come and join me". ive never seen neighbors. so i'm a bit dumb on this aspect.
but, if someone friendly said to me to join them on their spaceship, i would be there in a flash as the techie in me would love to learn bout the propulsion system used. lol.
fyi at uni we used to have loooong discussions about potential propulsion systems includeing matter/anti matter and magnetics and anti gravity etc etc. all fun debates. best, and every happiness to you. oldmuso.

Yes, creating songs is fun Very good sounding rock opera song, nice vocals, fun effects. Fun lyrics also, tea - reminds me of Hitch-hikers Guide To The Galaxy and a game based on it where "you have no tea". I believe that intelligent aliens are more like giant clouds of particles floating in space, something we can never communicate with or even realize that they are living creatures. Janne

OM,
I enjoyed when the BAND really kicked in @ 2:37...
Being an "alien song", I thought you might have used some spacey synth sounds.... give BIAB a chance to do a little "goin' crazy"....lots of opportunity for that here...

Muso,
Fun, offbeat tune. Ohh please continue your journey and let us know what you see on your way. (Part II?) Listens very well. I think alien chatting at the end could be slightly longer and louder. Thank you for sharing.

jannesan and Rustyspoon thanks for listening, and your nice comments. i can assure you they arent in our system...who would want to live on pluto ...lol. maybe i'll get egg on my face, but i think finally we will learn more bout ufo's etc in the next 20 years. theres just too much info on the net etc....and preassure on governments by people.
floyd. thanks for listening and commenting. very good comments. actually i tried lots of "spacey" synths , but found nothing that cranked me up.. includeing lots of 3 party synth plugs i have. just nothing seemed to work.
so...when that happens to me when i'm creating a song i take it as a message from the "recording gods" that twasnt meant to be...lol.
actually my concept for the song..if i ever could afford to do a pro video , was for a lad on a mountain looking wistfully at the sky, wishing for a friendly spaceship to come so he could travel the galaxies. a childhood dream of mine...lol. when i was a kid i imagined ships might be 50 miles wide..then i imagined they might be the size of a cereal box....its all relative ...lol. best oldmuso

Hi Muso,
I enjoyed your song very much! A beautiful melody combined with lyrics to create your own fantasies. After hell broke loose at 2:38 I hoped that part would have last a bit longer. for me you could have played at least a minute longer! And that means you made a very good song.
Hans

Bob, Hans,Scott ,and Torrey thank you for listening and your very nice comments. it encourages me to write more songs...lol. i guess the song reflects lots of ideas i had when i was a kid....my wife says i never grew up..lol.
just imagine rocking out with a great rock band touring the galaxies in a massive spaceship....lol. apologies for not thanking you earlier, ive had some sort of allergies. i often feel writing songs is a difficult endevour. lots of work as we all know.
fyi, i really wrestled with the song arrangement originally as to how complex or simple to make it.
every happiness to you all. best oldmuso.

That was a heckuva writeup not to include the lyric or BiaB tracks or production info! We enjoy reading that stuff ... really Especially lyrics for those of us like me (Bud) with ancient ears! I just figure that "they" will eventually show up (again) and stomp us like a roach while "saying" something to the effect of, "well that didn't work out." Nice epic stadium feeling sound. J&B

dear Janice and bud. or as i think of you..."total talent". thanks for listening to the song.
re my not providing production info/details //biab details etc. (much as i would like to like other pg song creators.) perhaps you didnt see my other pg post where i explained reasons in another song post ....as follows.
awhile back i had very serious surgery i wont bore you with, which i came through thankfully. (i'm fit as a fiddle now and hope to stay that way.)
due to the nature of the operation (and the covid situation) my doctors (to protect me) have me isolated with just my dear wife. ...and thus limit any interraction with other people which might impact me.
but all my darn song production details are backed up in other locations, which i cant get to right now. i only have final song stereo mixes here.
i hope you understand. thanks oldmuso.

Commander Tom, err I mean oldmuso this is out of this world! Love the intro and the mix of soft and distorted guitars, brilliant! A super vocal and lyrics that were expertly mixed.
This is your best to date IMHO.
Life is short so make sure you spend as much time as possible on the Internet arguing with strangers.

Apologies for missing that and glad you are doing well. Janice and I have been on a pretty much self imposed isolation during this entire unfortunate period. Fortunately I have access to all my tech toys! And as mountain bikers and hikers we have access to many local trails and have trails on our property. We have a very special marriage of 42 years that helps a lot! Be safe and well. Bud

would like peoples opinions ...if its worth keeping this song on soundcloud, as they only give me a certain amount of free space. and i got loads of other songs done with biab/rb/reaps to put up.
MEANWHILE HUGE NEWS ! as you all know i'm a huge hammers fan. THEY JUST BEAT LIVERPOOL 3-2. there will be huge partying in the cockney world tonight. the pubs in east london will make money hand over fist. i'm sooooo stoked cos compared to west ham liverpool has big budgets for players.
me happy lad. hammers are third in premier league.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!
With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!
And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
