It's worth remembering that although most of us can't write code that would make BIAB work, some of the things connected with PCs are no more complicated than changing the fuse in a mains plug.

So, a quick fix that would probably get the OP up and running is not an unreasonable suggestion.

Simon says "I've got a support session scheduled for Wednesday with John, so I'll be doing some further testing on the drive."

Maybe Simon can talk the OP through the reseating process. The drive isn't working at the moment so nothing lost if the fix fails or even trashes the drive. PG can always send a new one but the OP wants to get up and running as fast as possible.
