In the past I have used this : http://audioslicer.sourceforge.net

It works on mp3 files, so you may have to convert your files to mp3 first, but it auto-splits the file at points of silence that it detects.

I'm not sure if it can be set up to do the splits at fixed time intervals or not, but it seemed to work pretty well detecting silence for splitting whole albums that I recorded in one shot.
