Mario, your JazzBox is the winner for me. The modulation on the keys feels a little weird wobbling behind my left ear (headphones). The controller sax is pretty cool too.

Mario,
That guitar sound is super! You've got a creative mind and it shows here with this arrangement! I like the band you've assembled! Swinging jazz that's entertaining!
Thanks, Torrey

Sounding good, Mario!
I dig the wind controller sax, very realistic, and I especially like the tone you get from the Harley Benton.
Pure class!

Ah, and then the guitar plays! Excellent style. Very cool how you weave piano and guitar, Mario. Those hits starting around 2:04 seemed like the "sax player" was looking around to see if this is where he takes off. He sounded frozen by the spotlight, and not the same confident guy who started the song. The first section of hits at 0:44 he seemed to have a better plan. And then came the guitar. Your talent shines throughout, Mario. Very enjoyable listen.

Mario,
Nice! Great job on everything (as usual).
A very enjoyable listen.
(a "personal preference" - I thought the sax (nicely played) could use more reverb/delay)

Very nice, and I especially enjoyed the guitar solo. Could have let that fill the whole piece.
Something about the sax is off, to my ear. A harshness I can't explain, but it makes me squint involuntarily. Maybe a tad too much "breathiness" in the mix.

Thanx everyone for listening and commenting on this little jam.
OM - if you want to sing just let me know and I will send you a MP3 with the area(s) where you want to sing sans any lead instrument.
Rayc - thanx, I'll take a look at the keyboard sound source.
Thanx Nigel, Dave, Marty, and Derochette for listening and commenting.
Torrey, that is my Harley Benton Jazz box that looks exactly like a Gretsch through Amplitube 5 and ReGuitar.
Floyd, I agree with you about adding more reverb/delay to the sax. Thanx for making me aware of that.
Mark, I increased the amount of "growl" this time so maybe I over did it. Thanx for bringing that up.

I liked the sax lead... but I liked the guitar solo even more. There's something about the sax that makes it feel a bit distant in the mix - at least, in my speakers. I'm a fan of more reverb on the sax, but I never know when to stop turning that dial, so beware any mixing advice from me. The sax seemed to "wimp out" on the final notes, but it might have been the mix. Sounds like fun was had.

Hi Mario,
That piece of music turned out very well! I've always wondered: is the wind controller hard to play...I mean somehow physical demanding? On some videos I've seen, where people are using it, they look like it is quite hard to use it.
Thanks for sharing, Will

I have had others comment on the lack of reverb and/or delay on the sax part. I had some but apparently not enough. I'm still learning!

Thanks for sharing, Will Thanx Will. Actually is isn't that hard but you have to have a good set of lungs. I was a trumpet and French horn player until severe asthma halted my playing ability. That ended my horn playing for many years. About 20 years or so ago I finally got most of my lung functions back. I tried my trumpet then, but when I saw a wind controller I knew that is what I wanted. Using my lungs I can play any instrument via my wind controller. One important factor is your sound source. If it is set a a low volume then you will have to blow harder into the wind controller. Fortunately most software will allow you to adjust the initial volume. Also some software comes ready for wind controllers. They are the easiest to use. However any Kontakt instrument that is not wind controller ready can be modified to accept a wind controller but you must have the full version of Kontakt to do that. The Akai wind controllers have a number of fingering options. One being a trumpet like fingering. I still have problems with the octave rollers but to be honest I really don't practice. So being an ex horn player the transition to a wind controller was not hard. But there is a learning curve. Note that you will be working in MIDI so you have a lot of options with a wind controller track. If I can do it I'm sure anyone can. I hope this helps and good luck.

No your lips will not bzzzzz! All you are doing is blowing into a plastic sax like mouthpiece. There is no reed in the mouthpiece. You will not need to develop an embouchure. If you have a good set of lungs you can blow into a wind controller. {edit} I will never have 100% lung capacity and I can use a wind controller.
