This is a stand-alone version of popping. In the stand-alone version, the problem is very serious. In studio one, you can adjust the buffer to 1024 to alleviate this problem, but it will not be completely solved.
What sound card are you using? Could be a sample rate mismatch (like 44.1K vs 48K).

Not to start a war but sometimes one can overlook the obvious, been there-done that.
I have heard noise like what you uploaded when things were running in the background. Have you tried disabling your Ethernet card via the device manager, your anti-virus, and your anti-malware? I do this when I am using my DAW and it has eliminated those artifacts. YMMV

I would go so far as to even check my cables and connections. I once had an issue that turned out to be the USB port I was using.

I use BB VST popping in studio one at least. If I use BB VST in FL Studio, popping is more.
