I am trying to load some .dll plug-ins from within Power Tracks from the “VSTi /DXi synths button/options/ register a new DX plugin” and I am getting the error “is not a valid WIN 32 application. How can I resolve this? Also if I do scan for new dx plugins it is not finding any. Do they have to be in a certain location on my hard drive?

Are they 64 bit plugins?
What version of pt do you have?
64 bit plugins won't run in 32 bit pt without JBridge
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Hi Bernier, DX plugins are not loaded directly from the DLL's like they are with VST plugins. DX plugins are "registered" with Windows, so any program wishing to use them does not need to know where the DLL's are located.
Which version of Powertracks are you using at the moment? The 2021 version will only load 64-bit plugins, while the 2020 and earlier will only load 32-bit plugins.

Not sure whether they are Dx or VST but Power Tracks eventually found them and loaded them without my intervention.
I had so many issues lately I ended up reinstalling Win 10 from scratch. I then loaded my PT related programs one at a time. I reloaded 2020 because my issues seemed to start when I upgraded to 2021.
I did not load jbridge this time but everything seems to be working fine.
