I'd try the following. (I'm assuming that your computer has front USB connections as well as rear connections.)

One
  • Turn off your computer and disconnect the USB drive.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Remove the USB cable from the drive and plug in both connections of the Y-connector into the front of your computer.
  • Plug in the connector to the USB drive and see what happens.

If that doesn't work...

Two
Repeat the above but plug in the Y-connector to the rear of the computer. From reading these forums, it seems that on some computers, the rear USB connectors provide more power.

If neither of the above worked, I'd be using the toll-free number to contact PGMusic. They are exceptionally good at looking after their customers and, if you have a faulty USB drive, PGMusic will not hesitate to replace it.
