My point here was that MIDI loops might be a better choice than audio loops. Indeed. Before those electronic audio loops became audio, they were MIDI signals flying in some musician's studio. Even the most "human" aspects (e.g., manual pitch bend) were all MIDI before they became sound. You might conceivably wind up with an electronic RealTrack where the musician is using a virtual instrument you have on your own system! MIDI, but not audio, gives you the same control(s) the original musician had.
