Being that the song is presented as “completed” all suggestions are now filed for future reference. Got it. No jokes then. Oh, I didn't read it that way. Sometimes one needs to say, "I hear, appreciate, and value your opinion, but I've deemed this a finished piece and will not be making further changes to it. I will, however, bear your comments in mind in future endeavors." I've wondered how to say that myself, without giving offense. Mark, thanks - and thanks also for the pre posting comment on the song. Sophistry often requires the gaslighting of others.

I'm in the "hate it" camp. Cant stand politics in songs, which ever side it comes from.
Keith I can understand and accept that Keith. Mind you whenever two people are gathered there is politics - personal, sexual, relationship etc. County, state, nation and planet too of course. I 1st discovered politics in song when someone played "Okie from Muskogee" by American country music artist Merle Haggard.

Ray, I wanted to apologize to you for using the word "devisive" in my comment about your song. I am embarrassed to say I thought it meant something entirely different. I learned a lesson.
I am simply trying to say that I like the song and the video.

I saw Phil Ochs perform "Hippie from Olema" at Carnegie Hall, before the bomb threat cleared the house. All I remember now is the title, and the preface in which he had very kind words for Merle.

You lucky fellow, Phil was amazing..his songs are wonderful and the arrangements on the albums are insanely good. Weird for a folky but a folky nevertheless. You're lucky to have seen him. I didn't "discover" him until about 2005.

I didn't "discover" him until about 2005. I agree with all you say about Ochs, but that show was not what you might think. The audience (including me) had come to hear Phil Ochs, revolutionary art-rock/folk singer. He had other ideas. He wanted to play electric rock 'r roll. He wanted to play Elvis music. He did play some expected material to start, but he quickly went into his new thing. I guess he figured if Dylan could do it, he could, too. I remember quite clearly him saying, in response to continuous booing, "We're guerilla fighters, willing to die for rock 'n roll". Then the show ended because of the bomb threat. I was in the lobby when Ochs came out. Some idiot passed him a guitar and he waved it away. He said OK, OK, we have another show, it will be softer. But I wasn't around for that. Later I read about the glass punching and the cut hand. At least there was no bomb. My favorite Ochs song, far and away, is "The War Is Over". That was cool. I just had an 80s flashback.
I love the lyrics, especially the section with "like accountants in the mob."
If some people don't like political songs, they are going to hate my next one.
I enjoyed both the song and the video. I don't know how you can find the time to create a video and a song.

Okie from Muskogee to Hippie from is a nice move. And I'm proud to be a hippie from Olema Where we're friendly to the squares and all the straights We still take in strangers if they're Haggard In Olema, California, Planet Earth

PS Did you take a look at the MST organs? Might be able to find a Farfisa sound for one of them. Back when Bud worked as a band manager in the 60's he became quite familiar with the Farfisa.
YES, you were correct. I found a far far more Farfisa sounding organ in the super midi world. That's the 1st time I've ventured into MIDI land with BIAB. I usually avoid MIDI due to my lack of understanding but that was EASY. I ought to have asked earlier. ANYWAY, the one I found fits my current project wonderfully....PHANQUE!

Like Dylan says, we live in a political world. Love the ska flavour. Vocal is well suited to the song, though wouldn't mind hearing a little more of Katya in the mix. Nice video.

I enjoyed both the song and the video. I don't know how you can find the time to create a video and a song. We humans are political animals...it's in the core of our social interaction. Thanks for your kind words...yeah, I 1st saw Madness at the beginning of the 80s and again just before they broke up for the 1st time. I'm glad they reformed and keep on going.
