That was a most enjoyable two minutes.
The use of "ricochet" thematically is great.
The sparse arrangement is very effective, well chosen and well mixed.
Your, what we call Americana style, vocal is outstanding as is the harmony.
Perhaps counterintuitively depending on one's interpretation of the lyric Janice said the tune made her feel happy.

Bob, loved your approach to this song. Less was more in this one. Super vocal and lyrics with the perfect backing band.

Hi Bob,
I just going to come out and tell you... What's not to like about your song. The music, way you chose to sing it is just right and an easy listen. It just puts one in the mindset that you're sitting with your Grandfather and he's imparting wisdom to his young buck grandson.

Another classic for the Bob Dean canon! Really well done. I have half a song written called "Bob Dean" about a guy who is writing songs so fast another famous Bob gets ticked off, and so does the ghost of Tom Petty. So the other famous Bob sings his lament in his traditional wail--about Bob Dean, the writing machine. Do I have permission???

Another enjoyable song with a nice sounding band that settles me down, simple and repeating like a ricochet makes it quite hypnotic. Nice image of "blackbirds on a winter wire somehow keep the cold at bay".
