To get a shot, you can type two periods after the chord in the chordsheet. Ex. Dm9..

To get a hold, put three periods after the chord.
Ex. A7...
It will hold until there is a different chord entered.

To get a push, put one or two carets in front of the chord name.
Ex. ^GMaj9
You may choose to push (play early) by the value of one-eighth of a measure, or one-sixteenth.

Right-click on a chord in the chordsheet and select Chord Settings. You will see all the options, including holds or shots for some instruments but not all.
