Hi all, Patrick Fournerat has written the french lyrics and he sings. Hi Chris,
The funky music is well played and nice, but a bit subordinate to the vocals.
You can hear it very well when the solo comes in.
I think the instrument need their own accents, to support the singing.
Otherwise it's more a song where the story is the main event.
But if so, why choose for funk then?
Having said that, I still think it's a very nice song with nice, clever lyrics (as far as my French goes...)
I think that's what your stongest thing: making songs where you can listen to a good, clever story.

Bass and drums plus six guitars? I thought I was going to be bored out of my brain but I was pleasantly surprised to find it all fitted together rather well. 
My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile
