As often said here, it is all about workflow.

I have no problem with these issues since I don't do this work in BIAB but rather over in my DAW. Any full feature DAW will provide visual clues as to all changes and effects added to the song at any time point. For me, BIAB is the starting point for the tracks. Then if I want to arrange soloists from RTs that is all done in RB. And finally for all those fine tuning items you have mentioned as well as recording I move over into my DAW.

BIAB - RB - REAPER

I do little arranging in BIAB (input chords, set key and tempo, select style, hit play). Then in RB I start the arranging (who plays when and what) and finally Reaper, (add recordings and tweek to final mix).

Just one mans workflow.
