Hi, The Radeon RX570 I got from Newegg for the i9 computer I built is not working correctly. Newegg will not take it back so I have to try to deal with the MFG. OK what ever.
I want to buy another GPU under $600 to put in the i9.
What do you recommend?
I will put the RX 570 back in if it ever gets replaced by the mfg or put it in the new i5 machine.
I am really tired of all the made in china BS. Turn all this computer crap off and go back to two inch tape...lol

Billy, when you say 'is not working correctly', what are the symptoms? Two-inch tape had its place in the industry, until whenever you had to edit by splicing. No, you don't really want to go back to two inch tape, I can assure you

LOL...No I don't want to go back to two-inch tape...lol
I think the last roll I got cost $169.00 dollars.
I took the GPU out and connect it to the video output on the motherboard. That resolved all the issues.
I am not 100% sure if this is a GPU failure or the GPU software. I removed and replaced the GPU software without any change.
Bottom line, I am tired of dealing with this crap and I don't care what it cost.
The ASUS Radeon RX 570 is under warranty. If they replace it great. If not it is just 5 or 6 hundred dollars dumped in the toilet.
The other new rebuild i5 machine has a video card that is at least 15 years old and is working fine. If ASUS sends me a refurbished RX570 I will stick it in the i5 machine.
So...I need to buy a new GPU and I am not sure what to buy. The use is my DAW, and some not too heavy video and animation work.
The other issue is what is currently available. At least my DAW is now working and I can put off until later the video things.
Billy
There is one other very strange issue. When I open Chrome it opens then closes then re-opens in less than a couple of seconds. It works OK after that. I have reinstalled it but it has the same issue.

Has anyone used one of these? There are pretty cheap at $319.
ASUS TUF Gaming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 OC Edition Graphics Card (PCIe 3.0, 4GB GDDR6 Memory, HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, 1x 6-pin Power Connector, IP5X Dust Resistance, Space-Grade Lubricant)

All the cards I've purchased in the past have been EVGA NVIDIA cards. Very good quality and haven't had an issue with the last half dozen cards I've owned. Only problem now is that high-end video cards are impossible to get a hold of.

Yes, Steve...I can only buy what I can get.
I got this as a temp. MSI Computer Video Graphic Cards GeForce GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G, 4GB $338
ASUS is sending me an RMA number for the Radeon RX570 and will replace it with a remanufactured card I assume. Around two weeks to get it back in my possession.
I have no business picking up this heavy tower but I have no choice.
I am running on the MB video at the moment until the temp card arrives in two days.
The DAW is usable under these conditions and video/animation can be put off until later.
In the middle of cleaning up all my legal issues with copyright for past and present. Hoping to soon get all the mechanicals and sync licenses I want.
I have to provide SoundCloud proof I own songs I want to post that belongs to me. PITB
THinking out loud...lol

Billy, I haven't bought a graphics card in over a decade. I don't need it. The reason is, for digital audio, the onboard graphics of my Intel CPU is fine. I don't do gaming, or video production. DAWs and BIAB don't require anywhere near the power by comparison to those activities.
When I did buy graphics cards, I always used GeForce products, and I found them to be excellent.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Slate VSX, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

The GTX 1650 will be about equally powerful as the RX 570 card. The 1050 TI is about 20% less powerful in some tasks (gaming), where in other programs you might not notice the difference. Otherwise they are both great cards. For the RX 570, did you download and install drivers from ATI, or did you use whatever Windows automatically downloaded? The automatic drivers are terrible for both ATI and Nvidia. Only install graphics drivers directly from the manufacturers website (and my suggestion is to go with the WHQL driver rather than the most recent "optional" one) - https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-570I usually tend to stick with Nvidia cards and have a GTX 1060 in my gaming machine, but I ended up with an RX 580 in my music machine for a variety of reasons (price, price, and - surprisingly - price). I am really tired of all the made in china BS. Turn all this computer crap off and go back to two inch tape...lol The new video card would most likely cost $3380 instead of $338 if it was made in the USA. Imagine if computers still cost tens of thousands of dollars! I certainly wouldn't have 5 of them if that was the case!

Thanks to both Matt and you Simon.
If computers cost $10,000 I would be over at your house playing live as we did for several hundred years before all this computer stuff...lol
Yes, I downloaded the driver software from the MFG's website.
I also got an RMA from ASUS so they will be sending me an RX570 which will go back in the i9 machine. I will put the 1050 in the i5 machine.
I also never found a need for a GPU until the animation hobby came along. Even the small amount of video I have been doing could be done without it.
I also install a 42 inch Samsung monitor which has fewer issues than the Prosonic I was using. It is also slightly larger.
I find the information in Kontact hard to read, to begin with. Don't ever get old, it really sucks...lol I assume I am near the end of all this problem.
Thanks, to everyone who has helped.
On a side note, Eva got the Moderna booster today. I hope it keeps us well.
