to get the TTS-1 soft synth after a reinstall, I downloaded Cakewalk. i'll never use it but opened it to take a look. i can't make any sense of the GUI or the set up. RB is much easier - tracks clearly labelled etc. when i open a midi in Cakewalk all it says is tracks1,2,3 etc.
although i think RB is much more obvious to use, I can now understand better what beginners feel when they see BIAB and RB for the first time. so just ask if we can offer any help to get you making music. That is because you are very familiar with RB. I'm just the opposite. I am was very familiar with Cakewalk when it was Sonar and now I'm very familiar with Studio One Pro. Although on rare occasion I use RB I find it very difficult to use when compared to Studio One Pro. Sure I could learn RB and you could learn Cakewalk but why if our DAWs do everything we need them to do? YMMV
I'm no longer allowed to go caroling at the psych hospital.
I guess Do You Hear What I Hear was a bad song choice!
