Here's one way. Go to Menu - Melody/Edit Melody Track/Transpose Melody Only. In the Range box, select Part of Song, then enter the bar info for those bars you wish to transpose, and enter the semitones to transpose. The same for Soloist - but remember that the you have full control over the Melody, but the program controls the Soloist so that track will be regenerated at the next play from start. I don't know how freezing the soloist track affects this. Good luck.
