Hi Chris,

The funky music is well played and nice, but a bit subordinate to the vocals.
You can hear it very well when the solo comes in.
I think the instrument need their own accents, to support the singing.
Otherwise it's more a song where the story is the main event.
But if so, why choose for funk then?

Having said that, I still think it's a very nice song with nice, clever lyrics (as far as my French goes...)
I think that's what your stongest thing: making songs where you can listen to a good, clever story.
