Here is my original thread where several are agreeing with me with regards to the following suggestion: http://www.pgmusic.com/ubbthreads/showfl...ge=0#Post269840 Suggestion (my original post): Is there a place where I can review (possibly change) the list of bar changes I've made -- a summary maybe? After I make lots of changes to several bars throughout my song, sometimes:
1. I can't remember the bar number I made a certain type of change to so I can get back to it.
2. I want to remove some bar setting I established somewhere but can't remember where.
In both cases, I'm going through the entire song (perhaps chorus after chorus) to open up the bar settings dialog to see if that is where I made the bar changes I'm looking for.

Yes, but I might have songs where I've made several changes and so I end up with several red markers. Right now (unless the feature is already there), I have to open each to find what I'm looking for.
Say for example, I have a bar where I instruct the jazz guitar to perform louder over say four bars and then let's say 10 bars or so later I have another where I've instructed same to go back to normal. If let's say I've got many bar changes spanning different choruses, it's very difficult and time-consuming to locate it (especially if the sound is subtle and all I can do is try to remember where I might have put it). This might be a bad example but I find that I do lots of bar changing and unless I'm writing everything down, I will forget where I put something. It's only a minor problem ... just thought I'd ask if it were there.

+1. While we're at it, might as well include song and chord settings as well since both have bar-related changes.

As I posted in your other thread, if you click on the bar that has the red highlight around it, you can see a summary of bar changes in the top title bar.

Hi John - I think the point here is if you have numerous changes it is extremely un-handy to query each red box and see if that is the one you want to work on and to understand how it is related to other bar changes. It's like playing concentration. A lot of clicking and writing to see what is really going on. Or, it's like wanting to look in piano roll view and only being able to look at one note at a time. Getting everything in one eye-shot (list, chart, etc.) would make for a more efficient approach in these situations.

Do you have any thoughts about what this might look like? Would it be interactive, where you could make changes in the list/chart?

Hi Matt - Um - well, that's why we have brilliant programmers. Going too far on this can get complicated - with multiple choruses and multiple variables on each one. First thought would be a time-sequential list showing all such changes by chorus, measure, beat, change type, and value. From here you could edit any column, also delete, duplicate, or add a change. This could be simplified with a filter (not unlike the Event Edit List in Notation View) to "just show me instrument volume changes" or "just show me guitar track volume changes", or "just show me pushes".
My brain is fried so I won't go into a graphical representation.
