agreed Mario - we both know the program we use inside out. but looking at cakewalk reminded me that beginners seeing a program for the first time are working from a standing start. we can help them. just wanted t make sure beginners felt confident to ask. I put the bold in because these forums are absolutely the best for helping beginners and old timers like me whom on occasion have "brain farts".
I haven't lost all of my marbles but there is a small hole in the bag someplace!

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
