I think the development style in band in a box is very good. But the update is too slow. Can you update it every month? Even if you update 5-10 styles every month. In addition, with regard to the dance music content of band in a box, I found that some are just because the drums are not well made, which makes people feel not modern. So I suggest updating some more modern drum, loops In short, I hope to expand the style track faster, so that users can always get richer styles. This can maintain a heat. However, I also heard that it seems that you have more holidays in your country. You don't like working too hard. This is really very happy

this doesn't sound a very good business model. styles don't really get updated. new styles are created. when there are enough new ones for a new styles pack, they get released. i don't want to buy five new styles every month. and if you think 5 new styles every month will enhance the user experience i simply disagree. and as to styles not being well made, i've already suggested that BIAB may not be the music creation program best suited for your needs.
and as for working hard, the PG team seem to work flat out as far as i can see helping with queries.

Everyone is expanding their software to keep up with the changes of demand. In order to maintain the popularity, I suggest that the style should be updated, which is also an advantage of band in a box and should be brought into play.

However, I also heard that it seems that you have more holidays in your country. You don't like working too hard. This is really very happy Swingbabymix, you are missing the most basic concept of the BIAB main program. I try to read each of your posts because as a new user your questions are compelling and address using BIAB in musical genres which aren't presented often in the Users Showcase or discussed in depth here in the forums. I think the biggest contribution is your adherence to using the BIAB VST DAW Plugin which is commendable and useful to PG developers because it appears that attracting new users is a major goal to expanding the BIAB user base. It's also your biggest hurdle and greatest block to having personal success and joy from making music with BIAB. You suggest PG Staff should update 5-10 styles every month. No. BIAB Styles are 100% modifiable. Every Style can be modified, changed, updated, increased and decreased that any user of every version of the product aspires to learn and apply. Styles are also 100% user creatable. Across all of your posts, the common theme is your desire to harvest tracks that are polished, balanced and completely processed to a finished product for importing into your DAW to finalize your music projects. The BIAB main program can produce polished, balanced and completely finished tracks from solely within the program. Anybody can do it just by becoming familiar with the tools, instruments and techniques. Modifying and creating Styles are the pathway to successfully building a library of Styles specific to a genre of music. RealBand and BIAB VST DAW Plugin do not have all of the BIAB's Stand Alone program features. The BIAB Stand alone main program is the only full featured PG Music creation program. Learn about UserTracks, Utility Tracks, User Performance Tracks, The Audio Editor and Audio tools. Learn about Vocal/instrument thickening, RealTracks Picker Medley Maker, Songform Medley Maker, Sequencer, MIDI Piano Roll, MIDI StyleMaker, RealTracks StyleMaker. Learn how to import a MIDI File and convert it into a BIAB Style. Learn how to import a single MIDI channel or the Melody line from a MIDI file. Learn about the MIDI Track Picker that imports a patch from one Style into another Style. Learn how to structure your song using the Songform Maker, MultiStyles with Part Markers and Section Text. Just knowing these can allow you to implement the template Austin Hull and other YouTube instructors use to repeatedly create 'in the style of' song tutorials. A person can start with the basic BIAB Pro Pak and using the above tools and techniques build a custom base of 1,000 Styles that are unique and dedicated to any particular genre of music produced today. Once you know the process, making a Style is both quick and easy and is all you need to create any type of song you want.

Well articulated Charlie.
I suspect there are some users that expect a music program to deliver final results with minimal input. The ability/requirement to be able to apply individual creativity seems less important, and therein lies the problem.

All one has to do is to listen to the songs in the showcase forum to discover what a little creativity along with any one or any combination of RTs, RDs, MIDI, BiaB, and RB or any DAW can do. There is a lot of talent on display in that forum.

I suspect there are some users that expect a music program to deliver final results with minimal input. Well, isn't that why we're all here? Isn't that why a product with a ridiculous name like "Band in a Box" exists? Be fair. The more unfortunate expectation is that PG should immediately send BIAB to the software ICU, where old, necrotic tissues and organs can be cut away and replaced with new, modern, youthful, happy synthetic materials and appliances.

being constructive, do we know any music making software that would suit the OP better?
maybe we could point him in that direction and avoid further posts about what is wrong with BIAB.................

But lets look at the future as musicians. do we really want with advanced AI tech to open biab in the future , and there is just one button ... the make me a hit button. and thats it. so the products called HIAB, hit in a box.
or mebe there is another button called ... 'make me sweat for it button'...and the biab we know and love with all its quirks opens up.
frankly i look at biab as a bed guide trak generator over which i can create my own song sound pictures and vocal characters. each of my own songs (whether judged good or bad) encompass a few hundred hours of work and struggle.
and over the years my wife will tell you ive enjoyed every minute. for me, i dont weant AI to do everything for me. i want the flexibility to add my own ideas/creative imprints whether good or bad. sometimes i want a totally crazy song, and other times a totally serious song, as the creative mood takes me.
the above is just my own honest feelings.

<< Well, isn't that why we're all here? Isn't that why a product with a ridiculous name like "Band in a Box" exists? Be fair. >>
In all fairness, No. It's not why we're all here. It's not why anyone with more than a passing desire to have accompaniment that's more professional, produced and greater complexity to just entering a chord progression, choosing a key signature, tempo and feel that BIAB gives straight out of the box is here. I think it's mostly to create, mold, fashion and produce a unique and personal musical arrangement. That's a much better assessment to why we're here in my mind.
Some make practice files to fit their personal practice habits or if they're a teacher, what they personally want their students to practice and get the most from their practice.
Others make performance tracks to align with their personal style and feel for songs they perform. Make their interpretation rather than buy a karaoke cover 10,000 other performers may be using the same version performing.
There will be artists creating their idea of the perfect cover of their favorite song or artist that's unique to them. A one of a kind cover that is out of their budget to go into a studio to get a recording on par with what BIAB gives them.
Then there's the artist that not only writes and makes quality demos of their original songs, but some actually make final release commercially available recordings.
It's an unfortunate expectation to think one can open a program and that program intuitively knows what every user likes, their instrument choices, the Style, groove, feel and genre and automatically generate a polished, professional grade, radio ready finished song.

<< i don't want AI to do everything for me. i want the flexibility to add my own ideas/creative imprints whether good or bad. >> Exactly...
A MIDI file will satisfy every requirement to give a user everything to duplicate the music track of any top 10 pop song, country song, jazz song, oldie, easy listening, hip-hop, trance, dance, house, or other. BIAB is capable as it is today to authentically copy any song. That means anyone should be able to start with a MIDI song and modify it, make their own choices of changes to make and render a song completely 'in the style of' that MIDI song...
If it's good, BIAB can easily transform that modified MIDI file into a BIAB style. Third party companies like Norton do it.

I think we all agree - even when comments are ironic - that the OP's expectations are unrealistic and undermine the creativity that BIAB and RB offer. but do we know a program that would suit him better? that may stop the flow of'helpful' suggestions
seems as if his ideal word processor program would write a best selling novel at the touch of a button. maybe Microsoft should update Word...........

In all fairness, No. It's not why we're all here. Charlie, you don't need to sell me on the value of BIAB or convince me that it can be used creatively for any number of good purposes. I was responding to the statement that "there are some users that expect a music program to deliver final results with minimal input", because really, to the extent that it can do it – which is astonishing – that IS exactly what BIAB offers and why I use it. That doesn't mean I abstain from creativity or take everything straight out of "the box", but it does mean I can type in a few chords or feed in a MIDI file, select a style, and get a professional quality performance. People who write and sing songs may find that is perfect for them. I combine BIAB productions with other stuff in Logic because that is what I do, but I am using them as "final results" of a sort (I guess you could say "finished stems"?) when I do. Anyway, I really think this is a sideshow, but I've already said my grumpy 2 cents about that in my Halloweeny surgical metaphor. At this point, the never-ending stream of "suggestions" feels like a kind of trolling, to be honest.

I've learned quite a bit in these threads about bits of BiaB that are beyond my experience, so they've been very useful to me, and I imagine also to others.
But I struggle sometimes to be sure whether the OP is genuinely asking questions or making useful observations, or is just trolling. At present I'm still giving the benefit of the doubt ... but only just.

Everyone's biggest enemy is time. Our time is limited. We can't master all the technology. BIAB can help me save time. I haven't thought about releasing any songs, but BIAB can give me a lot of try. I think music is a comprehensive art. In addition to chords, accompaniment and lyrics, it is also very important. In fact, I prefer to write the lyrics well. I just think the style release is a little slow. If it can be released frequently, it can maintain a market heat.^_^
