Personally I think the program and styles updates are too fast.
I'd like PGM to slow down the new/additional and go back to consolidate and refine what exists.
There's more than enough to keep even the most adventurous folk busy for a year while the glitch backlog/code repair is taken care of.

PG Music is fully committed to annual version updates and ongoing style creation as part of their marketing strategy. I don't want snake oil and glitchy stuff appearing every fortnight.

I have over 8000 styles - what pack did you buy to start with? Don't confuse the xtra styles packs with the thousands of styles available in lthe ultrapak which is updated every year. Maybe you didn't buy alĺ the styles.
You are also missing the loops with styles packs and xpro packs.
That might explain why you are always complaining about lack of styles you like.

I have used BIAB since the days of floppy disks and my entire style collection numbers 10,858 and that includes some 3rd party styles, some Norton styles, a few of my own hybrid styles and the entire BIAB collection.

With that amount of styles, I will never, ever get through all of them in my lifetime but I always eagerly await the end of the year to see what will be coming out the PGMUSIC factory!

I do agree however the program can use more bug fixes and testing before it is released. How many patches have been released each year for a given release. Quite a few which tells me they are not catching all the problems before it goes on the market.

However, with all those problems, there is still nothing like BIAB anywhere and I do consider it the one program that I use each and every day.

in full agreement. I now use band in a box every day
This is a great software. In fact, I knew it 20 years ago, but I haven't used it.
Now I start using it. I really like it very much.

I can't say too much about bugs, but I'd like them to listen more to our wishes... (At least that's my impression that they don't.)

Which might exactly be the problem... I mean you're right; I love this program myself, but you know, if you don't like Nike, you can always switch to Adidas, Reebok and Puma; kwow what I mean...?

When I wrote my first aftermarket style disk, I thought perhaps another, and I'd have everything covered.

I was sooooo wrong.

I found that so many songs that at first sounded so similar, were so very different. Now I don't think there is an end point.

I know having so many styles makes it harder to find just the right one, but when you do, it's so much better than doing with one that just barely makes it.

I almost mentioned "Note"'s website earlier, but then abandoned the post for an unrelated reason.

There are in his name, 16 discs of intros and endings, 29 discs of styles and 45 discs of fake-books, plus many discs from other contributors.

And as they're mostly(?) MIDI, one can swap instruments and customize to ones heart's content.

Last time I checked, Notes’ styles are indeed all MIDI. But you can always experiment with swapping in RealTracks.
