Kurtis Blow is without a doubt one of the most important artists of Oldschool Rap. On top of that, there are a couple of things that make him even quite unique among those Early Rap Heroes: Not only funky but superfunky, no violent lyrics, and - what motivates in particular this suggestion: Original compositions (no samples) of instrumentally highly packed arrangements (interesting for piano players, guitar, percussion) in regard to comping as well as in regard to solos.

This counts especially for four of his tracks. Therefore, I'd like to suggest Comping Styles as well as Soloists generated from the following 4 Kurtis tracks:
