Hi, I'm never sure exactly where to post about problems in RealTracks, so sorry if this isn't the right place.
I've noticed that RT #2284 has a couple of annoying pops. They are audio glitches, nothing to do with the way the bass is played. I'm getting them on an Am7 chord, only occasionally, but enough to appear every time I regen so it's kinda ruining the track :'(
Also I'm not sure what's going on with the ending on this alternative bass RT of #464... sounds like they've accidentally left an extra string ringing.
Maybe it's time for some new acoustic bass bossa styles!
It's just a "fact of life" with a lot of the PG audio samples...lots of artefacts...some samples are really good, but most have some sort of glitch, NOT noticeable in the mix mostly, but play them stand-alone and they are. When I use them I need to go over into Reaper and fix them up.
Sorry, that doesn't really help, apart from suggesting you've just got to get used to it
I didn’t listen to the sample; on my phone that’s not helpful. But Joden has an idea: listed to the actual RealTrack file. If you hear glitches, send an email to support@pgmusic.com
But first, a couple of things should be ruled out:
Are you using the RealTrack at, or very near, the recommended tempo?
What is the quality setting in the RealTracks preferences?
In Song Settings, did you check This Song Has Problems.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
Make a SGU file that uses RealTrack 224. Put a bunch of chords, including the annoying Am7 chord, in the chord sheet. Regenerate until you hear the pop.
Freeze all tracks.
E-mail the frozen SGU file to PG Music Support. In the e-mail describe the noise and what bar and beat the noise can be heard.
PG Music will fix the RealTrack and the fix will be included in a future update.
I send them a frozen SGU file and a description of the problem three or four times a year. All but one was fixed in an update. The one they didn't fix was a background sound that was supposed to be part of the RealTrack. Once they told me that, it made sense.
Not as bad as some of the problems with Mellotron tapes but there are lots of glitches for certain. Yes, I cut n paste a lot in Reaper to correct the issues I come across. I've just accepted them as legacy bits. I didn't know the could/would be corrected...I will ap attention to this thread for future glitches.

If the tips and tricks outline above don't help, definitely feel free to e-mail us an example to support@pgmusic.com so that we can review it. Bother a rendered audio file and the frozen SGU or MGU file would be good if you do so, that way our techs will have both files.
