Did a quick search of the forum and didn't come up with much, so sorry if it has been asked before, but I am looking for suggestions to entering the two syncopated chord progressions from this great song.

It's the timing I am after of how to enter them to get that feel right. I've been mucking around with this for a while and can not quite nail the timing in the chord entry boxes of BIAB.

There are so many, here's a few. I don't think you can upload the SGU,MGU... anymore, some copyright issues.

Excellent, thanks that's a good place to start. I was thinking of trying time sig changes as well....I even toyed with the idea idea of writing a mini midi file with just those bars...

Which might be possible with the new version I see at PG which has up to 16 parts...maybe I should upgrade haha. My version is still at 2018.

Thanks David - yep you've just about nailed it there, thanks much! I'll tweak it a bit for the chart version I have and take a couple of the stops out, but aside from that, brilliant! Thanks again smile

@Dave and here is my alternate version, if you're interested of course smile if not that's cool too. I used most of your timings but changed a couple and added an intro an outtro...

Edit: it works well with most of the "Big Band" styles wink

You could try my version, I have two bars of intro (one Bar hold and then a shot, starting the melody on the second beat of the second bar) and then I let the drums run through (you can remove the "d" if you want). You have to rename the file (remove ".txt")

Thanks I will,

cheers!

EDIT: cannot get that file...it only comes down as a text. As in there is no other extension available, I mean it d/l's as 19074.txt only. If I change the extension BIAB does not open it.....any ideas?

PPS: it's a shame PG cannot host small pics, otherwise I'd show you the dialogue box I get.

i tried Brille's file and had much the same problem.............BUT
i think its the way windows no longer show extensions by default. download the file, right click and choose rename. delete the whole of the current name and retype it as a new name - i did test.sgu.

it still showed as a notepad file but opening BIAB, and navigating to the file, it opened fine

I did some fine tuning on my version to make the track sound a bit more smooth.
Please again save the txt-file and rename the file extension to ".sgu" as it is not possible to attach sgu-files to posts (the forum software also changes the filenames to a random number).
