Couple of thoughts.

BIAB version 2010 introduced the ability to freeze tracks. If you are talking about a MIDI bass track, you can edit it and freeze it, so it will not be regenerated when you press Play or reload the song.

If you are talking about a Real Tracks bass track, the best you can do at this time is continue to regenerate it until you get something you like, and then freeze that. However, I occasionally mute the Real Bass track for a measure and use the Soloist track to enter a specific MIDI bass line in that measure. Match up the instrument sound and volume as best you can.
