It's called RoHS, and it means 'Restriction of Hazardous Substances.' Many products have a RoHS sticker on them now adays. The EU and other European countries initiated RoHS controls a few years ago. What that means, basically, is that you can not import anything that has lead, mercury, PCBs or several other substances. It's a huge pain for manufacturers, because all of your parts have to be RoHS compliant.

California was supposed to have adopted the RoHS standards as well....the Independent Nation of California, don't you know...but that would have prevented my company in Washington state from sending certain of our products to California, because it would have been illegal for us to ship there. D'oh!

You can read about the directive here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restriction_of_Hazardous_Substances_Directive

Also, California is a little over the top about how manic and crazy they are. I mean, think about it, Hollyweird is there!

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!
