Is there a setting that will prevent RDs from ADDING drum infills and flourishes of its own accord where none are required. Blue and Green markers are set as appropriate, in this case Bars 9, 25, 41 etc but I also get the occasional infill arriving at say Bar 17 or worse half way down a Bar run - say Bar 19. I've looked in Preferences-Real Drums but can't see that there's anything to stop these unwanted extras from appearing. OK I could chop them out in RB for example and replace them but they shouldnt happen in the first place - should they? Any ideas? Bests Ian

I don't know if there's a setting or not but you can copy and replace the offending bars easily and fast using the Audio Editor in BIAB and not have to spend any time using RB or another external DAW.
For instance with using your example unwanted bars above:
Assume bar 5 is straight drumming with no flourishes and is a satisfactory replacement for unwanted fills at bars 9,17,19,25 and 41.
From the Audio Editor:
Select and copy bar 5 to the clipboard
Select a Utility Track or the Audio Track. I prefer to use UT's but it doesn't matter.
Set the curser at bar 9 on the Utility Track and paste the bar 5 audio. Repeat the paste at bar 17. Repeat the paste at bar 19. Repeat the paste at bar 25. Repeat the paste at bar 41.
If a fill crosses bar lines, select to bars of appropriate drumming for the replacement material.
Either prior to entering the Audio Editor or after you've made the edits, open bar Settings and Mute bars 9,17,19,25 and 41. From Bar Settings, Return to Normal bars 10,18,20,26 and 42.
This technique will eliminate the unwanted flourishes and fills by muting the offending bars on the drum track and playing the appropriate replacement bars on the Utility Track.
In your scenario and keeping the same song without change,
Is this a multi-style RD ?
Have you changed the RD? Do you get the same infill behaviour?
On the RealDrum Settings dialog there is a [_] Developer Mode. The manual pg422 reports that usually this is for user creating RD styles but it records errors and it seems to record some info that could be helpful in diagnosing this behaviour.
What style is used (or set of real tracks if it's a custom one)?
For the part markers, do you have a single blue part marker later on followed by a green part marker and etc, or do you have e.g. two blue part markers with even some unmarked bars in between?
Each part marker can trigger a drum fill ..., so use no more part markers than you need to.
Also be aware that the middle chorus ( meaning Chorus 2 of 3) will by default play a B part marker even though it does not indicate via coloring. This will cause a fill. This default behavior can be overridden in options.
Hi Its is a bespoke style that I created but all the tracks are standard RTs and an RD. The infills come where there are no blue or green part markers - that is what I was trying to discover - WHY that happens. I changed RD and the infills still happened. Matt's fix works, thanks Matt - click on the offending Bar/ Bars and UNTICK the infill box. It stopped them appearing there. However, I am no closer to finding out WHY they should randomly occur when they are NOT asked for. But I can move on with the arrangement and have learned something new. Bests ian
