Greetings -

I use a very old Nero Burning ROM add-in as a database of my CD's to rip them. It references FreeDB to get album info (artist/title/tracks/etc). However, recently FreeDB was acquired by Magix and they shut it down. Because of this, I have not been able to use it for quite a while now and have had to type in all the track names for the CD's I've ripped.

However, I just found out that it has been rehosted at gnudb.org. So I went into my configuration and changed the server reference from http://us.freedb.org to gnudb.gnudb.org, loaded up a CD, and selected "check internet database" and sure enough, it brought up the tracks for the CD. I am now a happy man.

You can read more about it +++ HERE +++ and maybe it will help a few other folks out as well.
