Hi all, I recently took a song I had written and recorded in Cubase VST5 back in 2002, added some BIAB real tracks and after several attempts finally found a great singer.
Sadly whilst I have the .all files that Cubase used at the time, I can’t access them as I no longer have Cubase so only had a .wav file of the full backing track and I didn’t want to start from scratch. I had used Sampletank for most of the original track with my Yamaha DTX kit for the drums.
I wanted to go for the feel of the mid 70’s ballad period and used:
IMPART.STY (Impart Slow-8ths Mallets Folk)

3552:Multi[Thickened=5] Vocal Oohs-Aahs, Rhythm Pop3-part Ev 085
3555:Multi[Thickened=5] Vocals, Background GospelCool3-part Sw16 075
RealDrums [in style:MalletsFolkSlow8ths: a: Mallets b: Mallets, Roll
The singer, António, I found via the Fivver* web site.
The lyric video and mp3 here, mp3 sound is better:
Is There Someone Sat At Home Cheers,

PS. *This is all part of a project I’ve been working on to write in styles of well-known artists – Fiverr has been a godsend for finding great singers. If interested samples here:
