Every where I turn i always hit a freakin wall! I'm just trying to load down the new patch 4 and I receive an error. It's the least of my problems with realband but it's just one of several. Is there something I should be aware of before loading down patch? Thank you. (you guys at BIAB have got to get on the ball. to many dam glitches)
When I try to burn a CD, I get invalid floating point integer. Just never stops.
More. I loaded PT to view the video to see what it was about and 10 seconds in I loose the audio. I mean, what the hell??!!

Videos require a codec that is downloadable on the video pages.
CD burner is a generic program that works with most burners, not all of them. May need to try a better burning software. It is there for convenience but doesn't work for all burners. That one is a known issue.
The patches have never been a problem here, No secrets to downloading and installing that I know of.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

You've got a couple of things working against you.
1. Vista
2. 64 bit
Find the .exe file for both RB & BIAB in each of the folders, right click, choose properties & set to run in XP compatibility mode.
Turn of the UAC
turn off any anti malware programs.
Turn off any other programs not needed.

Sorry to read that you are having such a frustrating time with Realband. Like you, I run Vista Home Premium but my version is 32-bit. When I first loaded RB and BIAB on Vista nearly a year ago, I had some issues that were resolved by turning off the User Account Control (UAC). Since then, I've had no problems at all. (Windows made me feel that I was leaving my computer open to every kind of nasty possible by turning off the UAC but nothing has eventuated. I run Avast (free version) as my anti-virus program and it's been very sturdy.)
I haven't tried the RB-included CD burner because I always export my mix as a WAV file and then burn it in a separate process using CDBurnerXP (an exceptionally good freeware program that works fine with Vista).
There has been only one time that I had an issue with installing a build update. This was when I forgot to close Realband before running the installation. That was my fault. Other than that, all updates have proceeded flawlessly.

I do thank you all for your comments and suggestions. Last night I just had it. I must tell you, though, that I purchased "Windows 7 - Ultimate" through Internet last night and downloaded it before I did anything. (I just couldn't take Vista anymore.) Perhaps I should uninstall BIAB and re-install for Windows 7. I made sure all drivers were up to date and even loaded down secial media player codec pack. I did turn back on the User Account Controls which I previously had off. I will take care of that. Well, here goes another night of tuying.

There were a couple of issues with Win 7 but PG cleared those up. My friend is running Win 7/64 and loves it. He uses it 3 nights a week for 3 hours. This kind of use is were all the bugs come out. It's been fine.
