Lady Gaga is pretty cool too! I didn’t want to draw attention to her but yeah she keeps up with him just fine. She also can keep up with Metallica. Pretty unique. The duets with Tony are about all I really care for however.

Just SING with that gift you got." Great singer. Eddie, I think it is because music today is more about the show then about musicianship. Thus a great voice plus crazy costumes equal lots of money. A great voice minus the show equals a lot less money. YMMV

Eddie, I think it is because music today is more about the show then about musicianship. Oh, but I remember the exact same debate over David Bowie in the 1970s. I had a friend who could not listen to the "Aladdin Sane" album without getting pissed off by the makeup and costumes. She liked his songs, but was embarrassed by his appearance, and seemed to feel it was selfish of him to put her in that position, lamenting "Why can't he just" etc.

Actually he's 95 and this is his last concert due to Alzheimer's. Like Glen Campbell he can still sing and remember words but does not recognize family and friends. Hey Mario, there were some wild outfits in the 60's, 70's and 80's. From Elvis to the metal bands. And let's not forget all the classic country outfits! OK her inauguration day outfit set a new benchmark!  Bud

Thus I stand corrected on that point but the difference I believe is that today it is mandatory and back then optional, however I may be mistaken on this also.

I think he is an interesting songwriter and showman, but I wouldn’t call him a good singer. His last album seemed to sound like a person that was finally comfortable with themself instead of putting on an act

Watch the 60 minutes interview about this concert. He cannot really interact with anyone, barely knows what is going on. But, when he hears the opening piano part he sings. Knows all the breaks, all the words everything. His wife says he is only Tony Bennet when he is singing, just transforms right before you eyes. Recognizing Gaga when she joined him on stage was a version of that as well. Backstage he would most likely not know who she was. Just amazing. at 95 he still has a pretty powerful voice amazingly. Lots of older singers seem to lose a lot, he adapted. Sad that he is done, but he had a good life and gave us lots of good music. This is a horrible disease, but it appears that treatments are coming as advances are being made every day recently on some different approaches. It would nice to see this disease controlled if not eradicated.
My wife asked if I had seen the dog bowl. I told her I didn't even know he could.

Dealing with it with my mother for the past 8 years and the last 6 months have been a marked decline to where she doesn’t know anyone by name and really seems like an early teen in interest. Still my mom but it’s of course not the same.
