That's true of just about any software, complex or otherwise.

It's very likely that I'll upgrade before the offer expires, unless there's a mad stream of updates.

I wrote my first computer program around 1970. I had to post the paper tapes away to be compiled and run. It didn't compile, but taught me an interesting lesson ... it didn't compile because I'd set variables to initial values, as of course I should. The problem was that, whilst the compiler accepted positive numbers without a preceding "+", it would not accept just a plain zero with no sign, it had to be +0 or -0. Oh! Right. Okaaay. :-)
