I hadn't tested the Volume Automation with midi so I did tonight. VA works with midi. You don't see the Wav form (there's not one) but the nodes and automation affect the track as expected.
EDIT: Volume automation works with SuperMidi tracks too just as someone commented in an earlier post.

Thanks! Great to hear. I'll try it in the morning. Appreciate your help.

Nice demo for this function!

I'll never understand why they oversell features that are not finished!
So often, Marketing and Sales people are impatient. Typically they fail to understand that it takes a long time to get form a first-cut example of a concept to a finished, customer-ready product.
It happens in lots of companies, time and time again. Implementers are also often over-optimistic.

I understand that. The price will be favorable now. The functions are perfect, and the price may not be preferential. Strictly speaking, it can now be understood as a beta. We buy it at a preferential price. The company can receive some funds first, and then improve the functions as soon as possible. Together to achieve the final perfect version However, if you buy the final perfect version directly, there may be no preferential price. Just my guess

PGM obviously aim to release in time for Christmas and the discount is part to encourage Christmas sales.
But yes, I do suspect part of that discount is because they and we know that early adopters will be bug-finders.

Beta testing is done prior to release. This year it was longer than usual. I doubt seriously they are discounting so all users are bug finders. However as we all know this program is deep and wide. Each new feature affects all the ones prior in some way. The way the program looks back to "call" functions from the BBW folders is remarkable, but very complex. In beta some of the features were still being added. It seemed as it does every year to be very close. Then release introduces a ton of issues because every system out there is configured differently, every user has different levels of ability and knowledge, and we all have very different needs and connected hardware.
Remember a lot is asked/demanded/requested for each new release. PG tries to add what they deem reasonable, to meet the needs of their customers. Sometimes those asks are increasingly difficult. When you look back on just the last 4 years this program has undertaken a very complex and demanding alteration. Quite frankly a remarkable amount of upgrades.
I encourage all to be patient, BiaB gets the most love here as it is the flagship product. It also get patched and fixed pretty fast, as since release there has been 6 updates including one in the wings we should see before long, and i am sure another is hard on that ones heals. They will get it right no doubt. Someone mentioned above "the perfect version" in software i don't think that exist.
In all reality when you look down the page at the long list of posts you realize well over half get resolved immediately as they are many times pilot error.

Thanks Charlie! I did try it and it seems to work! My next issue is that those MIDI tracks don't transpose with the rest of the tracks, when you change the song key... (I did another post about it) But thanks again, I really appreciate your help!
