Recently I've run into a number (more than 1) Real Drum Styles that seem to have an overly loud cymbal crash. Drummer is chugging along at a nice volume, easy to mix, then up comes a little roll and K_BAM!. Flaming nails to the ears

My mitigation efforts to date:
EQ the high end. So so results, Reduces the sizzle but ends up with a bit of the drums in a closet effect.
Automation (Volume) around the crashes.- This works but tedious
I've tried the 2 in concert. Its just a lot of work

Currently I'm doing a song with _Cuppajoe.sty
with RealDrums JazzSwingDannyBrushes
Attached is the waveform showing some of the obvious cymbal crashes

I suppose I could get the midi drums from BIAB and work with that.
I'm not in a hurry to abandon Real Drums nor spend a lot of time in the midi world.

Has anyone else experience similar?
what workaround(s) did you find?

I do like Real Drums and hope to continue to use them in my track building
