This is my songwriting logic. I create the song using BIAB. Then, I transfer the rough draft to my DAW for live recordings using my guitar and or piano. In the past, after listening to the track several times I would find nuances that I would add to the existing BIAB file and simply back track through the aforementioned process until I came upon something I liked.

This is exactly why Real Band was created. RB is a 48 track audio/midi recorder that also loads and/or creates Biab tracks. Keep your whole project in RB and you don't have to mess with all that. I do this kind of thing all the time and if I hear some interaction with the Biab tracks vs a live track I just recorded, RB will let you go to any empty track and generate a whole new Biab part using whatever style and instrument you want both midi and Real Tracks. If all you need is a 4 or 8 bar phrase or something, you highlight those bars on a track and that's all that gets generated. It takes less time than it just took me to write this. No more of that back and forth from your DAW to Biab trying to find something that works, it's all right there on your screen in front of you.
