That WMP problem is totally unrelated and has been discussed in another thread. However, you might try the same remedy of Running BIAB As Administrator.

No diagnostic trick I know of in this case, but you might consider running MEMTEST on your RAM overnight, just to rule that out.

How much RAM do you have, and what else is running at the time? Does the unceremonious exit still occur if you reboot and then run only BIAB?

Does Windows ever crash, or just BIAB?

Did this just start?

Build 912 or earlier?

What were you doing at the time?

Did you change your audio driver, or did a recent Windows update make changes (it happens)?

Sorry - I ask all these annoying questions only to assist in diagnosing. You never know what will lead to the solution.

And “Poof, gone” is unfortunately a well-accepted Windows technical term, even if it is funny!!
