Why can I not open a song directly into the DAW plugin? Why do we not have access to the song picker in the DAW plugin?
Am I missing something?

Never have had this feature in the BIAB-VST. Maybe cause no one ever asked?

I generally like a short crytic response - Just the facts kind of thing. However, this one eludes me?  Well, of course you can open a single song from the File - Open and then browse to your song's folder, or you can use the File - Open - Recent to pick from a list, but the "Song Picker", as it exists in BIAB is not present in the BIAB-VST.

It’s referring to songs you may have created and saved
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.
