Thanks for the link Jim.... I have a quick question. That page seemed to indicate you need to buy the video packages to get those videos. I'm thinking they must have come with one of the previous year BIAB packages as I have most of those.

The majority of what was on my disk was .MP4 files from what appears to be these videos. I searched the rest of the 2022 BIAB hard drive and there are no .MP4s for the most part. So I guess these videos are considered an add-on now?


Working from memory so this is more my impression than what maybe reality. PG Music introduced VideoTracks in 2016. One set was included in the 2016 release and a second was included in a 2016 Bonus PAK. PG Music licenses the files needed to display the video that matches the audio. My impression is the license fee is based per user. Look in the beginning of the user manual at the Copyright and Patents pages under the bolded Notice To Customers and you'll find multiple paragraphs about the license.

My impression is sometime after VideoTracks faded from the limelight, PG Music switched from including the needed files with every purchase to including the needed files with VideoTrack purchases. An unintended consequence was Band-in-a-Box also lost the capability to video record the chord sheet.

VideoTracks were released and the core 2016 audience had an opportunity to check out the feature. After that all sets became add-ons. This is consistent with how PG Music treated past material. For example I received the Piano Chord Dictionary as a bonus add-on one year. I liked the product so I purchased the companion Guitar Chord Dictionary.
