Schat means darling and google couldn't tell me wat scat meant, but it has to be something nasty, like get lost.
And that is what Janice had to sing all the time; about those nasty men...

But the song is lovely, swinging and gives a cheerful mood when listening.
My feet are still swinging a bit. Will take some moments to stop that.
And the song is very well mixed. Sounded bright and bassy where it had to be.
Compliments for that to Peter (bright guitar) and Budd (swell mix) and of course Janice with brilliant vocals.
Lovely house too!

Nice weekend,

Hahahaha Scat singing is a term for what mostly jazz or jazzy big band singers used to do. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong were the masters of it. The singer just riffs verbal sounds that aren't actually words to sometimes imitate an instrument. Scatting is what Janice is doing during the dance. Scat also means go away. So the name of the song was intended to be a double entendre. smile

Glad you like it and that it got your feet swinging!!

Happy Holidays!
