PG,
I didn't offer the pak, Peter Gannon did. I simply was going to collect the money from those who were willing to contribute, but since Peter donated it do Don, it is no longer necessary on my part.

Don, I haven't gotten to the store in a while, when I do, I'll find the card and send it to you.

Gary

Not so often you see that sort of customer care, a really cool gesture Peter.

demoed the dynavox briefly today, wow! factory rep coming soon to train me. its a full blown computer plus speech syntheses and internet with phone link ($8000 bux). im going may 19 for a power wheelchair training ($3000 bux). im gonna be spitting in tall cotton folks. just learned my va doctor is a great musician and plays native american flute. i will post link. just beautiful. he helped me setup biab everything pak and was impressed. will collaborate with him later. imagine, a doctor coming to set up biab, unheard of (except our beloved peter, of course). only problem i have noticed so far...vsc3 does not show in device list under options so music sounds bad. how do i install vsc3?

VSC is a separate product, and does not work in 64 bit OS.

However PGMusic now has a free Coyote Forte that works in 64 bit, and there is still the original $40 Forte that also works in 64 bit. (Guess which one sounds better)

If it is a 32 bit OS, make sure you installed the VSC as part of the installation.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Holy frijoles, I go away for the weekend and magic happens. I would've happily kicked in, and if Don needs something else I certainly will, but yowzah! You guys all rock so hard.

Nah bout the same. I am doing exhaustive research for a better Gm set now. I have MC5 with the roland TTS but the old DAW is CDrom not DVD and i can't install it yet. I am thinking of using A sound font set if'n i can find a really good one.

Hi Don,
Wow, Keewatin? What a small world indeed. You bet, Sammy's Pizza is still on Howard Street, although now across the street from it's original location due to a fire. Each year, around Bob's birthday at the end of May, a celebration is held in Hibbing honoring him and his accomplishments. Here is a link to a site that describes "Dylan Days" in Hibbing and has links to related info: http://www.dylandays.com/ There have been extensive efforts through intermediaries to convince Bob to come back for one of the celebrations, but so far no success there.
There is a restaurant here in Hibbing called Zimmy's (referring to Bob "Zimmerman") that is full of Bob Dylan memorabilia. I'm going to see if I can get a postcard from there and send it to ya.
If Robh has success through his connection to contact Bob, I wouldn't be surprised if you might be contacted by him in some way. I know from experience that he has acknowledged, by name from the stage, old friends from his Hibbing days that happened to be in attendance at a concert of his, because someone was able to get word to him that the person was in the audience.

Warm regards from the Iron Range,
Terry

Absolutely Don, still the same recipe, still just as good as in '59. I grew up a half block away from Sam Perrella's house, the founder of Sammy's, and I used to play with his sons as a kid. I have a drummer friend, Jim Hyde from Hibbing, who left here for Nashville many years ago and played with Eddie Rabbit for 20 years. Jim traveled across the world doing concerts with Eddie and had Pizza in many different countries, and Jim still makes the claim that Sammy's is by far the best.

Hey Don, what size shirt do you wear? I have an idea ...

Take care, I'll be in touch.

Terry

Got a couple of cards for you - I think you'll like the pictures on them. Also, a small package I'll be sending your way. Hope to get them off to you tomorrow.

terry, pkg came already today, wow thank you so much for the nice hat and t shirt from sammy's. you're awesome pal. no, i cant id the guys on stage with bob but thats the right era for my association with him, 57 - 59. one friend had a convert and we'd cruise howard street trolling for girls playing and sing our mating calls at the top of our lungs. sammy would let us bring the guitar in and entertain the patrons who were mostly teens anyway. great fun, terry.

That's great Don, glad the package made it there, enjoy. You and I cruised the same drag for the same purpose and frequented the same pizza joint, just 10 years or so apart. And we've ended up being friends through a most unlikely common path, PG Music. Keep makin' music!

I'm awe struck. Don't know what to think or say. But, Don. Remember what you did for Howard Tate? When you do something good for someone it comes back to you 10 fold Mate.

Good on ya Peter. I'm sort of choked up about this. It puts a new faith in people because of this.
