While you could ask BIAB to play a chord earlier than a given beat, what they call a Push, you could not then have another chord on that same original beat. Here's a simple example: many songs require a chord on the 'and' of beat four, and then another chord on beat one of the next measure. Now you can do that, and much more.

This, plus now you can add in chords to create a transition. You could add a short run of chords on the last beat of the bar to "walk" up or down to the next bar basically. The nice thing is that you can specify which instruments follow it so as to make it sound more natural - example, it would be weird for a guitar to play different chords on 16th notes, but could sound great with just the bass and piano.
