I'll be following this. The Afro-Cuban jazz is, as you listed, normally written in 6/8. BIAB has to contrive that time signature. BIAB makes an Afro-Cuban 6/8 style by using a 4/4 time signature divided into four triplets, so it's basically written as 12/8. I have no idea how a commercial loop would react to that.
