Thanks everyone it is a very unique project I fiddled around with several styles last night but haven’t found anything that really fits. The program also suggested what Amber did. So I guess I’ll start with a 4/4 in swing style preferably leaning toward Irish and then explore adding a bar to the “9/8” bars as mentioned. The song is a fairly slow tempo and the chord s are simple the verses are mostly G/B for a bar then C for a bar this goes on for about 6 bars then ends with Am Em C. The choruses change it up a bit.
It is someone else’s song that I don’t have permission to post right now but have permission to experiment with.
